Lamisil® Cream is formulated to ease the symptoms of tinea while actively fighting the infection. The cream formulation can be used on a variety of common fungal conditions.
Due to the soothing qualities, it is particularly well suited for inflamed and tender areas, and for dry, scaly or cracked infected skin.
Unlike many anti-fungal treatments that require as many as three daily applications for up to 4 weeks, Lamisil® Cream needs only one daily application for 7 days to effectively eliminate tinea such as athlete's foot (tinea between the toes), jock itch and ringworm.

How it works
An anti-fungal product is necessary to treat tinea. Lamisil® Cream's active ingredient – terbinafine – fights the infection by not only preventing growth of the fungi, but by killing the fungal cells. Lamisil® Cream's has a gentle formula that is suitable for irritated and sensitive skin caused by fungal infection. It provides relief from common tinea symptoms such as itching and burning. Lamisil® Cream is used to treat tinea of the feet, body and groin region. Tinea, also known as ringworm, is an infection of the skin caused by a types of fungi called dermatophytes. Tinea between the toes is commonly known as athlete's foot. Lamisil® Cream is also useful to treat Candida (yeast) infections of the skin. Yeast is another type of fungus.
How to use Lamisil® Cream
Apply Lamisil® Cream once daily
- Clean and thoroughly dry the affected areas on the skin.
- Use the amount of cream sufficient to treat the affected skin and surrounding area and rub in gently. Use only a thin layer of cream. When treating athlete's foot, apply the cream to both feet, even if the symptoms only affect one foot.
- If you need to apply Lamisil® Cream between your toes, fingers or buttocks, under a breast or armpit, or in the groin region, cover the area with gauze after the cream has been applied. This is particularly useful at bedtime.
IMPORTANT
While the signs of the infection may disappear after using Lamisil® Cream for only a few days, it is important to continue treatment for the recommended period. If you use it for only a few days, you may not eliminate all the fungi from the affected areas. As a result, the infection may return soon after you stop using the product. If there is no improvement in your condition after using Lamisil® Cream for the recommended time, see your doctor or pharmacist.
